Dangdang, Yihaodian join forces

E-commerce company Dangdang has partnered with Yihaodian, with each company launching a flagship channel on the other’s platform.

Yihaodian is a B2C e-commerce platform for food and beverage products in China and is majority owned by Walmart.

The partnership has seen Dangdang open a bookstore on Yihaodian online platform, making its books and media merchandise available to the latter’s customers, and Yihaodian opening a supermarket on the Dangdang marketplace.

“By partnering with Yihaodian, our customers now have access to a broader selection of grocery and food items from one of China’s leading online grocery stores,” said Dangdang’s executive chairwoman Peggy Yu Yu.

“At the same time, Yihaodian can now provide its customers an extensive selection of books and media products from Dangdang.”
