American fast food chain Subway has opened its fifth store in Vietnam.

The store is situated in Ho Chi Minh City’s Le Thanh Ton Street dining strip in District 1.

Subway primarily offers submarine sandwiches and salads. It entered Vietnam in 2011 and hopes to operate 50 outlets by 2015.

The Vietnam expansion is part of its strategy to increase the number of franchised restaurants worldwide to 45,000 by 2015.
