Yogurt company Le Pur has opened a pop-up shop in the entrance lobby of its Beijing office. Designed by Beijing architectural practice Ramoprimo, the pop-up has a white, clean look that not only showcases the brand’s yogurt products, but underlines the company’s values of health, freshness and naturalness, reports Retail Design Blog. Aiming for a contemporary, young and innovative image, the basic design move was to cover all walls and ceiling with striped screens made of pine wood with whit
te paint. These semi-transparent decorative elements echo the wooden crates used for traditional fruit stands in street markets. This is reinforced with a striped canopy on the shop’s facade. A sloped ceiling invites customers to focus on the main yogurt display on top of the counter.
Wooden strips were also used to create benches and tables. At the back of the counter, a yellow sliding door connects the shop to the company’s office. The white strips were further customised with plants and graphic elements, using oversized yellow nylon cable ties.
Different shades of grey are used on the floor, with large textured ceramic tiles to evoke the idea of a cozy home carpet. The sloped ceiling is dotted with dimmable LED lighting discs, while pillow covers, sewed on a soft-textured fabric, add detail.
Despite the space being small, the pop-up shop’s design elements combine to create a spatial and sensorial experience. The space is simple and bright to contrast with the colourful variety of the packaging of the yogurt cups.
