JeweLuxe showcase to debut at [email protected] Ann City
JeweLuxe Singapore, a curated showcase of international design, craft, artistry and innovation, debuts in Singapore next week.
At [email protected] Ann City in Orchard Road from October 6 to 15, it features jewellery, timepieces, vintage pieces, eyewear, fashion, art and “living style”.
Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board’s Kickstart Fund, it is first exhibition of its kind, introducing the concept of integrated retail exhibition and curated e-commerce marketplace.
JeweLuxe founder/CEO Angela Loh says the concept follows her 10 years of building a platform through Singapore JewelFest for international jewellery designers and brands to showcase their creations and gemstones. Her event caters to the “evolving tastes of shoppers for a more discerning mix of affordable luxury”.
As a collective voice for independent designers, watchmakers and brands, Loh hopes the debut exhibition will achieve more than S$9 million (US$6.6 million) in sales.
Edition 1 of the exhibition (October 6 to 10), curated by New York jewellery designer Paolo Costagli, spotlights rare and iconic items. US jewellery designers Amedeo and Moritz Glik, Kimberly McDonald and Sylva & Cie will be making their Asia premiere.
Edition 2 (October 11 to 15) will be a showcase of European and Asian design featuring Academie Horlogere des Createurs Independants (AHCI) members who create art through traditional watchmaking. These include such names as Aaron Becsei (Hungary), Konstantin Chaykin (Russia), Ludovic Ballouard (Switzerland) and Vianney Halter (Switzerland).
