Singapore bank launches e-marketplace for mothers

Singapore bank OCBC has launched an e-marketplace for mothers, making it the first in the local industry to enter the e-commerce field.

The new holistic online marketplace, which curates products and services for parents, is launched in partnership with Robinsons Group, NTUC FairPrice Online, Singapore Medical Group, and Doctor Anywhere, with StarHub and Great Eastern expected to join the platform soon.

OCBC head of consumer financial services for Singapore Dennis Tan said, “OCBC is in the best position to make this work because we understand families, having served this segment as the number one Baby Bonus bank for more than 10 years.”

OCBC claims that since 2008, it hosts more Children Development Accounts (CDAs) than any other bank.

The platform will also guide parents towards OCBC insurance schemes and children’s account services.
