Italian luxury streetwear brand Off-White will enter the Indian market in the first quarter of next year, under an exclusive distribution partnership with fashion retail house Brand Concepts.

The company initially estimates a US$5 million investment over the next few years to establish Off-White, which was sold off by LVMH to Bluestar Alliance last year, throughout the country.

“So far, our focus has largely been on accessories within the premium segments. With this launch, we are entering two new spaces: The luxury segment and the mainstream apparel business,” said Abhinav Kumar, co-founder and CEO of Brand Concepts.

The lineup, ranging from apparel, bags, and wallets to a complete footwear line, will be introduced under Brand Concepts’ premium multi-brand store, Bagline. The retail platform already features names such as Tommy Hilfiger Travel Gear, United Colors of Benetton and Juicy Couture.

“The streetwear culture in India is on the rise, reflected in the growing sneaker movement across the country. With one of the youngest populations in the world, the demand for streetwear is both timely and relevant, making India a natural market for expansion,” said Kumar.

Off-White also intends to enhance its visibility in more luxury multi-brand destinations, including The Collective and Iconic, alongside an initial plan to open two outlets across the country’s key metros, and launch its own e-commerce platform.

“Over the next two to three years, we plan to establish five to six flagship stores, supported by a wider shop-in-shop presence. Off-White is expected to be available across 25-30 points of sale in India,” he added.

Brand Concepts will partner with Sportlux General Trading, a global distributor of luxury brands, to introduce Off-White to India.
