Uniqlo Singapore has partnered with food brand Old Chang Kee to launch a UTme! collection.

Created in partnership with local design studio Wheniwasfour, the series reimagines Old Chang Kee’s heritage through playful illustrations of its Rex outlet and signature snacks such as the Curry’O.

The collaboration features seven t-shirt designs and six embroidery options.

Han Keen Juan, chairman and founder of Old Chang Kee, shared that partnering with Uniqlo means a lot as both brands share the same values.

“Since 1956, we have continuously strived to bring joy and comfort to the everyday lives of Singaporeans,” Juan said.

“It is important for us to innovate and develop the best-tasting products that cater to all races, generations and walks of life.”

Four of the seven UTme! shirt designs will be available across all Uniqlo stores nationwide, while three additional designs and six embroidery motifs will be exclusive to UTme! stores at Orchard Central, Jewel Changi Airport and VivoCity.

Aside from the Old Chang Kee-branded shirts, you can customise other items such as denim pieces and tote bags with the embroidery designs.

Paulene Ong, MD of Uniqlo Singapore, added that the collaboration reflects its ‘Lifewear philosophy’.

“What inspires us deeply is how Old Chang Kee’s rich tradition and heritage are kept alive through the dedicated training of future generations,” said Ong.

“We hope that every design resonates strongly with our local community and tourists exploring more about Singapore’s food culture.”

The Uniqlo x Old Chang Kee collection launches in stores and online on October 17.
