Thai doughnut brand Drop By Dough has opened its first store in Hong Kong, marking the brand’s first international debut.
Located in Central, the Hong Kong store features terracotta tiles, wooden furniture, and a simple, cosy design. The founders say the goal is to offer a space where customers can take a short break from the city’s fast pace while enjoying freshly made doughnuts and coffee.
Founded by Narongrit Sritalanon and Chalermphol Akkarapinyokul, the brand started in Bangkok in December 2019, growing from their shared passion for exploring doughnut shops during their travels.
“The brand has chosen Hong Kong as its gateway to international markets, further solidifying the city’s reputation as a premier destination for international businesses,” said Arnold Lau, associate director-general of investment promotion at InvestHK.
“We look forward to supporting their growth and success in this dynamic market and beyond.”
According to the brand, Drop By Dough produces its doughnuts daily using a combination of international and local ingredients. Signature flavours include Raspberry Rose, Classic Vanilla, Nutella Hazelnut and Kyoto Matcha & Red Bean.
The Hong Kong location will also serve exclusive flavours, including Pistachioooooo, a pistachio custard-filled doughnut topped with roasted pistachios, and Mango Kati, inspired by Thai flavours.
