Japanese footwear and clothing giant Asics has reached record highs in the 2025 fiscal year, with the company seeing growth across the board.
For the year ending December 31, 2025, Asics took home ¥810.9 billion (US$5.298 billion), a 19.5 per cent increase year-on-year. The company reported an operating profit of ¥14.2 billion ($92.8 million).
It was the fourth consecutive year that Asics set records in both net sales and operating profit. However, this year was the first time that the company’s Sport Style and Onitsuka Tiger brands surpassed ¥100 billion in net sales.
Onitsuka Tiger, the Japanese luxury lifestyle brand, launched flagship stores in Barcelona, London and Paris in 2025, as Asics looks to expand its position in the market. The company has also begun construction on the Onitsuka Innovative Factory in Sakaiminato City.
Asics’ domestic sales grew by 34.7 per cent year on year. The brand said this was buoyed by an 84 per cent increase in sales to tourists visiting Japan. The domestic growth was complemented by a 33.4 per cent sales increase in Southeast and South Asia, where a flagship store in New Delhi was opened.
The company added that, despite fears, its sales grew in Greater China by 19.9 per cent.
As the official partner of the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Asics said it was able to complete targeted product launches in Japan, elevating its position among runners and athletes.
