Hawaiian burger chain hits Philippines

Hawaii’s Teddy’s Bigger Burger continues its global expansion to include Philippines.

Local partner SumoBurger Global is opening the first of 10 Teddy’s Bigger Burger planned for the Philippines in Makati’s Greenbelt 3 next month.

The Philippines joins the growing global spread of Teddy’s Bigger Burger in Hawaii, mainland US and Japan.

“Our plan is to build several stores to serve as many customers as possible. However we want to make sure we put in the same level of passion and dedication as Ted and Rich. The founders are passionate burger chefs and their vision from day one has been to bring back the glory years of the burger joint. If we are able to just cook the burgers as how it is supposed to be cooked, we’re pretty much set,” said SumoBurger Global Inc co-owner Raymund Magdaluyo.

SumoBurger Global Inc, owned by Magdaluyo, Ricky Laudico and actor Marvin Agustin, also plans to bring new restaurant brands, including a Singaporean-Japanese concept and a New York-based steakhouse.
