Beauty retailer Sephora has launched skincare brand Drunk Elephant across its 250 brick-and-mortar stores and online channels in Mainland China.

With the launch, the brand’s products are now available across major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu, on Sephora’s digital and e-commerce platforms, and at its storefront on TMall.

Founded by Tiffany Masterson in 2013, Drunk Elephant offers biocompatible skincare products and is now present in more than 40 markets. The Houston-based brand was acquired by Shiseido in 2019 for US$845 million.

“As brand launches go, this year will be a momentous one for Sephora as we leverage our global resources to diversify our brand and product offering in this key market,” said Alia Gogi, Asia president at Sephora.

“From clean and sophisticated to accessible and luxurious, we are committed to curating the most globally sought-after brands to localise and exclusively introduce them to our avid beauty community in China.”

As part of LVMH Group, Sephora offers nearly 500 brands at more than 3000 stores and on its e-commerce and digital platforms across 35 markets.
