Inditex’s Oysho China debuts online

Oysho China, Inditex’s lingerie brand, has launched an online store on Alibaba’s Tmall.

The online entry was executed in near silence, with media coverage primarily in Spanish.

Several of Spain-based Inditex’s other brands have already entered China online via Tmall partnerships, most recently Stradivarius in April.

Oysho, created in 2001, offers the latest fashion trends in the lingerie segment. At Oysho, customers can find “fun yet sophisticated and feminine” underwear, and “modern yet casual outerwear”, comfortable loungewear and original accessories.

Oysho has 575 stores across 40 international markets.

The Tmall store quietly opened on May 19 and its launch “represents Oysho’s major commitment to the Asian market and strengthens its presence and business development,” according to Evigo.com.

On the Oysho.tmall.com storefront, shoppers can choose from lingerie, sportswear, sleepwear, beachwear, accessories and footwear.
