More Krispy Kremes for Japan

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation and its Japanese franchisee, Krispy Kreme Doughnut Japan, will open 19 more Krispy Kreme outlets.

The additional stores will be opened in the Chugoku and Kyushu regions within the next five years.

“This expanded commitment by our Japanese franchise partners speaks to the confidence we all have in the success of this relationship. We are very excited about the possibilities this region of the world holds for Krispy Kreme,” said Jeff Welch, Krispy Kreme president, international.  

Krispy Kreme has already got 73 outlets – in the Chubu, Kanto and Kansai regions.

“We believe in the Krispy Kreme brand and look forward to sharing the experience with more of the Japanese people,” said Shinichi Uetadani, CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnut Japan. 

“Being part of Krispy Kreme’s international growth is very exciting for us and we are happy to represent the company in Japan.”

Krispy Kreme, a sweet doughnut and coffee chain, has 675 outlets located in 21 countries around the world.
