Swarovski’s stunning Xiamen Christmas tree was formally switched on by Hong Kong film star Karen Mok.
The 18 metre tall tree, adorned with Swarovski crystals, stands at the SM Lifestyle Centre in Xiamen.
The giant tree not only looks stunning, drawing crowds of shoppers in a country where Christmas has not spiritual meaning. The bottom of the Christmas tree is large enough to serve as a new products exhibition hall., which was decorated with white refracting prisms to create the effect of being in a crystal palace.
The tree not only lit up but vegan spinning on its axis when lit by Mok together with Wang Xiaomei, GM of Swarovski consumer goods business department, China, Steven T Tan, VP-operations of SM Shopping Center Management Corporation and Rheybie C Nipas, SM regional operations manager.
Tan said it was an honor to have the tree stand at SM Lifestyle one of the six locations the crystal Christmas tree will be displayed this year.
SM Lifestyle is owned by Philippines SM Prime, shopping mall developer and operator. With total area of 5,400,000sqm and a daily headcount of 3 million, SM’s 45 large scale integrated shopping centers of SM Prime are located in Philippines and China.
