Red Mango hits India

Frozen yogurt and smoothie brand Red Mango has entered India with its first outlet in Delhi.

Red Mango has opened a 1300sqft store at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, offering frozen yogurt, fresh fruit smoothies, fruit and yogurt parfaits, artisan hot chocolate and probiotic beverages. The US brand also plans to open 12 to 15 more stores in India this year.

“Red Mango has served the international market with its yogurt offering for a long time. The time is ripe now for the brand to strengthen its position in the Indian market, which is comfortable with the concept of frozen yogurt,” said Rahul Kumar, Red Mango India CEO and principal owner.

“Over the next couple of years, we will invest around Rs15-20 crore in the Indian market.”

Red Mango joins rivals Canadian brand Kiwi Kiss and India’s yogurt chain Cocoberry in the frozen yogurt sector.

Red Mango now boasts more than 235 outlets spanning 19 countries around the world. It claims to be the first authentic healthy food QSR in India.
