Heinemann Duty Free Malaysia has launched its revamped stores at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Terminal 2.

The stores, which have a combined size of 1686sqm, have a design customised for Malaysia, featuring natural beige stone and traditional batik prints.

Heinemann also developed a new store concept as part of the renovation, opening up the floor plan for “improved visibility” throughout the store, which features brands including Kerastase, Vichy, La Roche Posay, Helena Rubinstein and Le Labo. Heinemann says it is the first travel retailer to list these brands in Malaysia.

The stores offer products from categories including fragrances, skincare, makeup, watches, jewellery, and confectionery.

“With the influx of people travelling now, we are confident that we are well positioned to welcome back shoppers to our brand new stores,” said Johannes Sammann, COO at Heinemann Asia Pacific.

As part of its goal “to turn travel time into valuable time”, Heinemann operates an online shop and click-and-collect service for KLIA Terminal 2 travellers in addition to the Heinemann Duty Free retail stores.

Heinemann ran the duty-free brand emporium at KLIA Terminal 2 under the ‘Be duty free’ name since 2014, before rebranding to Heinemann Duty Free last year. Heinemann Duty Free Malaysia currently carries more than 200 international and local brands.
