India to get 150 new Quiznos

Denver-based restaurant quick service restaurant chain Quiznos is poised to open 150 more in western and northern regions of India within five years.

Quiznos has entered India thru a franchise agreement with India’s Sub-One Hospitality Services, a restaurant management company based in Delhi, renowned for toasted sandwiches. Sub-One Hospitality Services is a subsidiary of South Asian Hospitality Services which operates 52 restaurants including Moti Mahal Delux, Nirula’s, Tandoori Trail and Rajdhani.

“The plan is to open 150 Quiznos outlets in the next five years. We will also sub-franchise. Around 15-20 outlets would be operated by the master franchise,” said Sub-One Hospitality Services CEO Pradeep Sehgal.

According to Sehgal, one outlet would cost Quiznos about Rs50 lakh (US$100,705).

Sub-One Hospitality Services is also working on a deal with Chinese cuisine restaurant chain and Australian coffee brand to bring them to India. Sehgal said the company is targeting a turnover of Rs200 to 250 crore (US$40.54 million to US$50.68 million) in the next three years.

Quiznos debuted in India in August last year with the first store located in Hyderabad.
