CP All currently has 6300 stores in Thailand. This year, it plans to invest five billion baht (US$161.97 million) for opening 500 more outlets, refurbishing existing stores and developing a distribution centre.

While on expansion spree at home, CP All is eyeing potential overseas markets. It has has sought licenses from its parent firm in the US to operate 7-Eleven convenience stores in Vietnam and China.

According to CP All MD Piyawat Titasattavorakul, the parent firm is also eyeing the two countries as its potential markets.

“The final conclusion about licenses in China will be known in the next two years,” said Titasattavorakul.

CP All is confident that it will get the approval to operate in China considering the strong performance it has showed for many years.
