Harry Winston’s Shanghai flagship

American jeweller Harry Winston will launch its flagship store in Shanghai this month, its fourth China location.

The flagship will be located in the premium shopping and entertainment district of Xintiandi. The 5800sqm store trading over two floors will highlight themed halls featuring high-end jewellery, wedding jewellery, and watches.

The new boutique will be the second location in Shanghai after a smaller salon opened in January this year at Peninsula Hotel, and the fourth store in China with other two locations located in Beijing and Hong Kong.

This China expansion supports Harry Winston’s global strategy to take global flagships to 50 over the next four years.

“Our jewellery sales continue to show strong growth in the bridal and collection jewellery segments that we have targeted as a keystone of our expansion plans as we service not only new markets in China but also broaden our offering in our home market in the US,” said Robert Gannicott, chairman and CEO.

Along with new China flagship, Harry Winston, together with International Youth Foundation and China Youth Development Foundation, will launch new charitable program which will offer life skills curriculum to Chinese youth.
