Italian luxe brand enters China

Following its success in Japan and South Korea, Italian luxury brand Pineider widens Asian reach with first flagship store in China.

The Pineider China flagship is located in Shanghai at Yifeng Galleria, a luxurious century-old building in the Waitan Yuan neighbourhood that also houses The Peninsula Hotel, Rock Bund, Bund 33, and Haungpu Park.

The store showcases elegance and style with its black and white furniture which recalls its stores in Italy, Milan, Rome and Florence. The store’s layout highlights product categories such as Pineider papers, personalised stationery and accessories for fine writing instruments and Pineider leather goods for travel, business and leisure.

The Shanghai store is jointly operated with Shanghai Kingmax, a Chinese export and import company.

“We are very proud of the opening of Pineider’s very first flagship store in China, which represents a milestone in our expansion efforts. The new Pineider’s store in Shanghai will give Chinese consumers direct access to Pineider’s high-end products which are the result of two centuries of Italian craftsmanship and history. We vow to do our best to maintain the very high level of exclusive craftsmanship, which has always been the traditional Pineider philosophy” said Alberto Bollini, Pineider’s CEO.

“We chose to open the first Pineider store in one of the most prestigious locations in Shanghai. In addition to our confidence in the Pineider brand, we hope Pineider can become the go-to brand for people who enjoy better things in life”, said CK Ip, Shanghai Kingmax CEO.

Founded in 1774 in Florence, Italy, Pineider produces hand-made papers and hand-engraved stationery, luxury leather goods, writing instruments and wedding necessities of highest quality.
