M&S opens in Davao

British brand Marks & Spencer has extended its reach in the Philippines with a new store in Davao.

Mark & Spencer, through its franchisee Rustan Marketing Specialists, opened its 19th store in the Philippines at Abreeza Mall in Davao City. The 1000sqm store offers Marks & Spencer’s latest collections across women’s wear and menswear, as well as accessories, footwear, sleepwear and lingerie, beauty products, food and wines.

“We’re delighted to be opening a new store in Abreeza Mall, providing local shoppers with the very best of Marks & Spencer,” said Anthony Huang, EVP, Stores Specialists Incorporated.

“The Davao store will sport a number of firsts – the new UK concept design for the first in the Philippines (tills, fitting room); the first store with the new baffled windows; the first with the Tiffany windows and the first to have the new mannequin poses not available in the other stores,” Lucille Tolentino, merchandising division manager for M&S said. (Yes, readers, “new mannequin poses” -we’re sure customers will be delighted at that innovation – Ed)

The new store is part of Marks & Spencer’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Asia.

Marks & Spencer now has more than 720 stores worldwide.
