Australian surfwear brand hits Philippines

Australian manufacturer and retailer of surfing sportswear, Rip Curl, has entered the Philippines with its first store at Alabang Town Centre Mall.

The brand has been brought to the Philippines by Stoked, an action sports retailer. Stoked and Rip Curl began their partnership in 2011 with the addition of Rip Curl products to Stoked stores.

The partnership has gone so well it has taken less than 12 months for the first stand-alone Rip Curl shop to open in the Philippines.

“Rip Curl’s vision is to be the ultimate surfing company in all respects, so we put together a Rip Curl shop that is inspired by that wonderful sense of discovery we call ‘the search’. It’s a shop that pulsates with adventure, travel, and youth,” said Stoked MD JV Borromeo.

The store spread across 90 sqm is a home to all enthusiasts who look for finest apparel and gear for surfing, wake boarding or skating.

Stoked said it is looking forward to spreading the Rip Curl brand across the whole country in the years to come.
