Instant reward concept debuts in Singapore

Elephanti, a social platform that connects shoppers and retailers, has launched in Singapore.

The mobile app offers instant rewards and is now available for download on the Apple iTunes store and will be available on the Android App Store and Google Play in late September.

Elephanti’s first phase is targeted at single-store merchants to help them engage with a wider base of shoppers and eventually increase store traffic.

Unlike most retail apps which require shoppers to make a collective number of purchases before rewarding them, the Elephanti app rewards shoppers instantly when they make a purchase upon checking-in with the app.

When shoppers are in a specific area, location-based Elephanti will be able to list the nearby offers and places that appeal to them based on their interests.

When out shopping, shoppers are able to indicate their items on the shopping list and the app will be able to track the best route for shoppers to purchase these items in their nearby locations.

Meanwhile, merchants, especially those without any online presence, will be able to build a virtual storefront on the app to attract more shoppers on both mobile and online platforms.

Merchants who choose to advertise on Elephanti will only have to pay when shoppers see the advertisement, walk into the store and physically check-in on the app. Compared to other online advertising models, this will be a cost-effective way for merchants to advertise to a targeted audience, while maximising their return on investment.
