French label hits Asia

French label Sandro has opened the doors of its first Asian store in Hong Kong’s IFC mall in Hong Kong’s Central district.

Sandro was launched in 1984 by husband and wife Didier and Evelyne Chetrite. From its first boutique in Paris, the brand now has 200 worldwide.

Sandro’s first Asian boutique aims to emphasise the “femininity, poetry and energy” that characterise the brand. New materials such as steel, copper and blond wood have been integrated into the design.

On the boutique’s shelves are collection inspired by the 1990’s ‘Manhattan working girl’. Urban styles have been blended with the sport chic trend while maintaining minimalistic silhouettes.

The store also offers Sandro’s Fall-Winter 2012-2013 collection which embraces the spirit of the “New York concrete jungle”. Each piece in this collection has been carefully designed to be elegant yet playful – a perfect expression of the modern Hong Kong woman.
