German apparel chain enters China

German men’s fashion brand Stones has opened its first store in China at Yansha department store, Beijing.

The store’s design copies the style of its European shops featuring stonework, moving displays and the typical Stones lifestyle photography which strengthen its European image in the Chinese market. It spans 30sqm.

The store offers a collection of business and casual wear and is surrounded by upscale brands such as Hugo Boss, Armani and Zegna and other name brands including Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger.

Further shops will be opened at department stores Parkson and Sogo.

Stones, from the company DressMaster, was founded in 1991. The brand says it is taking rapid steps to present itself in the still booming market with its fashion philosophy.
