JCrafts.com, an online shop that sells traditional crafts and accessories made by Japanese artisans, has reopened after a rebuild.

The online shop features more than 4300 products that can be purchased by customers in more than 120 countries worldwide.

The store specialises in traditional Japanese manufacturing techniques passed down from generation to generation. Traditional crafts, and the artisans who create them, are enjoying renewed prominence in the nation.

JCrafts.com initially opened in January this year to introduce Japanese arts and crafts to the world. The site provides information on the traditional culture and lifestyles behind each item and carries many items difficult to obtain even in Japan.

With the complete renewal of the site, the overall ease of use has been improved and four new product categories have been added to let customers find traditional crafts and information more easily. Recommended items have been selected for each new category: first class, daily, special and gift.
