Florida-based The Melting Pot Restaurants will bring its fondue dining experience to Indonesia through a five-unit franchise development agreement with P.T. Jaya Internusa Abadi.
With more than 20 restaurants in Jakarta and Bali, P.T. Jaya Internusa Abadi is actively pursuing sites for The Melting Pot locations in those cities, with the first scheduled to open in Jakarta in 2013.
“We’re confident that Indonesian guests will embrace The Melting Pot and its interactive fondue dining experience,” said Dan Stone, VP of franchise development for Front Burner Brands, restaurant management company for The Melting Pot.
“The Melting Pot experience transcends cultural differences and is especially attractive to cultures that place great value on spending time with family and friends around a table of food,” he added.
The Melting Pot Restaurants offers customers a choice of fondue cooking styles and a variety of entrées combined with dipping sauces. The menu also includes cheese fondues, salads, fine wines and chocolate fondue desserts.
The restaurant franchise is also looking to Australia, China, India, Brazil, Europe and other provinces in Canada for further expansion opportunities.
