Fatburger expands to Pakistan

California-based Fatburger is continuing its overseas expansion, opening its first outlet in Pakistan.

The burger chain, owned by Fog Cutter Capital Group, has debuted in Karachi, through its local partner BIL Foods.

“Through the opening of our first Pakistani location, we hope to provide a new and unparalleled restaurant experience to consumers of all ages,” said CEO Andy Wiederhorn.

Taking advantage of a growing fast food opportunity in Pakistan, Fatburger plans to open a second outlet in Lahore.

Founded in Los Angeles, California in 1952, Fatburger is a fast casual restaurant serving beef, chicken, turkey and veggie burgers and sandwiches custom-made to customers’ preferences.

The burger chain is also set to expand in Greater China through partnership with Shanghai-based boutique investment bank and asset management firm Puji Capital.
