German household appliances retailer Bosch has opened its first retail store in Malaysia.

The store, in Selangor, stocks more than 250 products such as washing machines, refrigerators, ovens and others. It is also designed to host events and product demonstrations.

Bosch operations in Malaysia is a joint venture between BSH Home Appliances Sdn Bhd and ESH (M) Sdn Bhd.

“The store serves as a platform for Bosch home appliances to reinforce their foothold in Malaysia,” said BSH MD Gary Ong.

He also said that the idea behind the store is too provide an exclusive and interactive shopping experience.

“This new Bosch store concept will enable customers to understand the technology behind the products and provide a different experience for buyers,” said Ong.

The company says expansion plans may only include the central region at the moment.
