Uniqlo will open its first mega store in the Tohoku region of northeastern Japan on March 15.

Featuring a 3300 sqm sales floor, the new Sendai Izumi Store will be one of Uniqlo’s biggest stores worldwide. Located in Sendai, the region’s largest city, the store will offer a broad range, including many items currently only available at select Uniqlo stores in Tokyo.

Symptomatic of Uniqlo’s wider drive towards bigger stores, the Sendai property will be only the 11th worldwide with a sales floor exceeding 3300 sqm.
