Vodafone expands ‘Angel’ stores

Telecommunications service provider Vodafone will continue expanding its ‘Angel’ stores in India.

Vodafone’s ‘Angel’ stores, which are managed and staffed completely by women, represent the company’s ambition of empowering women. The company says it will open another 15 such stores across India, doubling the current number.

“We believe economic empowerment of women is a great building block in social development,” said Arvind Vohra, head at Vodafone, Mumbai Circle.

According to the company, the ‘Angel’ stores underline its commitment of encouraging diversity and inclusion at workplace by creating suitable opportunities for its employees, enabling them to maximise potential.

“The ‘Angel’ stores are part of our commitment to provide our women employees with one of the most secure and productive work environment,” said Vodafone India MD and CEO Marten Pieters.
