Australian provider of cloud-based retail solutions, Retail Express, has launched into Singapore and South Africa.

The Queensland-based software company established a presence in Singapore in December before venturing into the South African market in February.

“Singapore and South Africa are very strategic choices for Retail Express as we seek to broaden our geographical base,” said founder and MD Aaron Blackman.

“Both have a strong retail sector and are currently serviced by only a few point of sale (POS) and inventory management products, so there is a clear window of opportunity for us right now. They also have a similar tax structure to Australia, which allows our retail platform to fit seamlessly into the retail environment,” he said.

Retail Express has achieved 40 per cent growth per annum over the last three years by providing Australian retailers with cloud-based POS and retail management solutions that drive down operating costs and increase productivity while improving stock management and distribution.

In preparation for its offshore push, Retail Express has expanded its support structures, investing heavily in additional support and development staff to enable it to provide quality technical support to customers in those time zones.
