Abercrombie & Fitch eyes Asian expansion

American clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch is ramping up its global expansion plans with Asian targets including Seoul and Shanghai.

Abercrombie & Fitch says it will open flagship stores in the two cities as part of its ongoing expansion efforts. It will also open 20 Hollister stores internationally including in Australia, Japan and Dubai.

The retailer also is also considering opening Abercrombie & Fitch stores at international malls.

The clothing company has presence in Asia in Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore. It expects total expansion expenditure to reach $200 million this year alone, with pre-store opening costs reaching around $30 million.
