Chinese apparel retailer’s profit rises

Chinese apparel retailer Ever-Glory booked a net income of $12.8 million, an increase of 32.7 per cent for the year to December 2012.

Total sales rose 29.6 per cent due to increased sales in the retail business as well as wholesale business.

The company currently operates 727 LA GO GO stores in more than 20 provinces in China.

Ever-Glory, which focuses on middle-to-high grade casual wear, outerwear and sportswear brands, says it anticipates total net sales of $300 million-$360 million and net income of $11 million-$17 million for the current fiscal year.
