Kenzo re-opens in Thailand

French fashion brand Kenzo has tied up with Central Department Store to represent itself in Thailand.

Central has opened Kenzo store at Zen department store, which is owned by its parent company Central Group. It offers luxury fashion items for men and women.

A second store will open at Central Embassy also this year.

Kenzo is the latest addition to Central’s portfolio of brands such as Bottega Veneta, Just Cavalli, Gucci, Pierre Balmain, and more. According to Pattlika Artharamas, Central’s director for imported fashion products, there is a booming demand for fashion brands in Thailand.

“This is due not only to Thais having more purchasing power but also to the narrowing product price gap between Thailand and places such as Hong Kong,” said Artharamas.

Central is well known not only in local fashion market but as well as international fashion market, having acquired Italy’s La Rinascente and Copenhagen’s Illum.
