British brand Miss Patina has chosen China to be the location of its first offshore store.

Miss Patina will open a 1830 sqft store in Hangzhou in June. Further stores are to be opened once the first store is well established, it says.

High online sales from Asia, particularly in China, has led the company to choose China as first location, it says.

“We have strong online sales from China and Japan, and reaction from Chinese consumers in the UK and Asia has been fantastic,” said PR and marketing manager Sarah Goodwin.

The brand also plans to open standalone stores in Japan.

Miss Patina currently operates 12 concessions at Topshop in the UK.
