Textile company builds wholesale mall

Textile company Fairy Bridge Holdings is to open its flagship wholesale mall in Udon Thani, Thailand.

The mall called “168 Platinum” has cost the company 1.5 billion baht and targets customers from Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and China.

Spanning more than 52,000 sqm, the mall will house 1168 shops and has plaza and retail areas with open air and air-conditioned options. The plaza area features restaurants and banks while the open air retail area has designated zones for men’s and ladies’ fashion apparel, trendy children’s clothing, leather goods and accessories. The mall also has 600 parking spaces.

The project’s interior features four Asian symbols – the Asian Market, Siamese Market, Laotian Market and Chinese Market – reflecting the multi cultural Asean region.

The mall is 40 per cent complete and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2014.

Udon Thani is a province which has strong economic potential as it is the trade center and transportation network hub of the northeastern region. Located near the border of Laos and Thailand, its natural catchment area of the Northeastern Thai provinces, and countries Laos, Vietnam and China are rapidly growing economies that boast customers with high purchasing power.

“I am confident that 168 Platinum will have strong success. I envision it to have sustainable growth and provide advancement and profitability to the wholesalers. Eventually, the project will meaningfully contribute to the long term economic expansion and prosperity of Udon Thani,” said MD Panjaporn Phatanapitoon.
