Carrefour buys stake back

French retailer Carrefour is to buy back its stake in Harbin supermarket from Harbin Electric Company.

Harbin Electric Company currently holds 18 per cent stake in the supermarket, valued at about 45.1 million yuan (US$7.35 million).

The supermarket has been profitable last year, registering a net profit of 6.7 million yuan.

Carrefour has around 220 stores across China.
