Inakaya to open in India

Japanese restaurant Inakaya has partnered with JSM Corporation to open in India.

The partnership plans to open its first restaurant by the end of the year.

Inakaya is the latest addition to JSM’s portfolio which includes Hard Rock Cafe, Pinkberry, California Pizza Kitchen and Trader Vic’s.

JSM founder Jay Singh said the company aims to bring more restaurant brands to India.

“We are in advanced discussion with one of the leading American food and beverages chains and are expected to sign an agreement in the next two months,” said Singh.

India’s quick service restaurant market is currently valued at US$1 billion and is expecting an annual growth rate of 30 per cent over the next five years.

The market’s growth is supported by young population, increasing disposable income, time scarcity and growing availability of international restaurant brands.
