Sprooki expands to Taiwan

Sprooki has appointed IBPT as its new reseller partner in Taiwan.

IBTP, a business development consulting organisation, will support the expansion of Sprooki’s location-based marketing and commerce platform in Taiwan, where smartphone ownership has reached 50 per cent of mobile phone users.

Leveraging Sprooki’s platform and services specifically design for large-scale retail enterprises, IBTP will provide customised solutions and services to Taiwan’s largest malls, department stores and retail brands.

Taiwan’s e-commerce sales have been booming in recent years. Nielsen estimates e-commerce sales were NT$660 billion (US$22.5 billion) in 2012 and are expected to grow further to reach NT$1 trillion (US$33.4 billion) by 2015.

“Taiwan is a market where there is increasing adoption of m-commerce among shoppers and retailers” said Sprooki co-founder and MD Claire Mula.

Sprooki is Asia-Pacific’s first local marketing system that helps malls and retail groups to engage mobile shoppers when they are most likely to respond – where and when they shop. It has a clientele of over 500 national and international brands across more than 3000 store and mall locations.

It alerts shoppers of relevant promotions and events based on their location, profile, brand preferences and time of day.

Established in Singapore by two Australian entrepreneurs Claire Mula and Michael Gethen, Sprooki is privately-owned company with investment from the Singapore Government’s Technology Incubation Scheme.
