New Prada Korea store opens

Italy’s luxury brand Prada has opened a new South Korea store inside Gyeonggi Shinsegae department store.

Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the store occupies about 205 sqm and presents women’s bags, accessories and footwear collections and men’s travel and accessories collections.

The façade, covered with steel-edged black Marquina marble, features a wide entrance with a large display window and a light box on either side.

The distinguishing elements of Prada’s worldwide identity, such as black and white chequered marble floors and pale green canvas-lined walls, define the interior layout.

Products are displayed in polished steel units with marble drawers and glass counters enhanced with coloured saffiano-leather details. Soft, green velvet sofas complete the setting.
