Krispy Kreme sets Taiwan date

US doughnut chain Krispy Kreme has set December as the month to open in Taiwan.

“Coming to Taipei in December,” Krispy Kreme has posted on its Facebook page. It is said the first store will be located in Xinyi district.

Currently, the chain is seeking employees who will support its growth in Taiwan.

Krispy Kreme will face competition from Japanese chain Mister Donut, which is the major doughnut player in Taiwan since US’ Dunkin’ Donuts withdrew from the market.

Earlier this month, Krispy Kreme has made its first foray in Singapore through a partnership with Star360 Group. It plans to open 15 stores across Singapore over the next five years.
