Miu Miu continues China expansion

Miu Miu has taken another step forward with its China expansion plans, opening two stores in the Charter Shopping Centre in Changchun.

Both stores represent Miu Miu’s “sophisticated” aesthetic and are focused on bags and accessories or ready to wear and footwear, respectively.

The glass and metal lined façades are set with light boxes and polished-steel edged windows which create “an evocative glimpse inside the store”.

The project, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, balances the brand’s iconic elements – the classic damask fabric and full-length mirrors – with new and unexpected details such as display niches made of polished and reflective cellular steel.

The matt black granite flooring, combined with the light diffused by the ceiling – which is also made of reflective cellular steel – create an engaging and refined atmosphere.
