ChicKing signs Malaysian deal

Dubai-based quick service restaurant chain ChicKing has inked a franchise deal with Dual Superfood to expand to Malaysia and other parts of Southeast Asia.

The Malaysian expansion forms part of the company’s goal to take its presence to over 20 countries in five continents and open more than 1000 outlets by the year 2020.

“We believe that Dual Superfoods, together with the support of PNS and the Ministry, will be able to exceed business expectations and develop ChicKing into a leading quick service restaurant in Malaysia and through out the region of Southeast Asia,” said Fariq Halim, CEO, Nas International, the parent company of ChicKing.

The quick service restaurant franchise in Malaysia is a highly competitive industry, the current brands are aggressive and has established their ground in Malaysia for a long time. But that does not mean that there is no room for new players in the market.

Established in 2000, ChicKing now has a network of around 100 outlets in seven countries.
