Apple to open Beijing store

Tech giant Apple will open a new store in Beijing at Central Mall on January 10.

The store in the Chaoyang District spans 500 sqm over two floors. It will be Apple’s fourth in the capital city.

The opening comes a week before China Mobile begins distributing iPhone 5s and 5c at its network of retail stores.

CEO Tim Cook says Apple, with plans to expand to smaller cities, considers China as an important market.
