E-commerce company Asia Deal Group has acquired DealDozen, a daily deals site in the Philippines.

Asia Deal Group also owns Streetdeal, an online shopping platform that offers each day unique offers of services and products to customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

The acquisition will enable Asia Deal Group to expand into the Philippines, a market which it says presents the benefits of having a strong and growing online population and a good payment card penetration.

“We believe that this combination gives the right ingredients for Asia Deal Group to apply its recipe to the Philippines,” said Asia Deal Group co-founder and CEO Gregory Costamagna.

DealDozen, established in 2011, features deals on travel destinations both local and abroad, specialising in dining, lifestyle and relaxation services.

Asia Deal Group plans to rebrand DealDozen to Streetdeal this year. It did not disclose the cost of the acquisition.
