Superga in mainland China expansion

Italian footwear brand Superga is expanding into mainland China, planning to open 50 mono-brand stores over three years.

The brand’s exclusive licensee in PRC, Hong Kong and Macau, Electric Sekki Footwear, has signed an agreement with Shanghai Zhi Yu Industrial to expand the brand into the mainland.

“This agreement represents strategic step for the development of the Superga brand in the People’s Republic of China,” said Electric Sekki co-founder Peter Solomon.

Superga is owned by BasicNet Spa, headquartered in Turin, Italy.
