World’s first Kit Kat store opens in Japan

Confectionery brand Kit Kat is to open a world first store in Japan.

The store, Kit Kat Chocolatory, will be located at Seibu Department Store in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro.

Kit Kat has teamed up with sweet shop Le Patissier Takagi to open the store, which will be overseen by pastry chef Yasumasa Takagai.

It says it will offer limited edition flavors such as Sublime Bitter, made with couverture; Special Cherry Blossom Green Tea, with extracts from cherry blossoms; and Special Chili with chili pepper cream.

Kit Kat is owned by Nestle SA which also owns a range of product brands such as Nespresso, Nescafe, Vittel and Maggi, amongst others.
