Book chain Eslite bullish

Taiwanese bookstore chain Eslite expects revenue this year to grow 7.7 per cent to more than NT$14 billion (US$461.34 million).

The good performance of its first overseas store in Hong Kong as well as its local stores are driving optimism about its trading outlook.

Having made its first offshore foray to Hong Kong in 2012, Eslite is now setting its eyes on expanding its presence in China by opening in Shanghai and Suzhou by 2015.

And it plans two to three stores annually for the domestic market.

Some of Eslite’s bookstores are open 24 hours, allowing customers to access the best of books day or night.
