Toy maker Funskool has opened its first India store.

The store is located in Coimbatore and spans 1500 sqft and the company said it will serve as a test store in the market.

It features the company’s full own range as well as products from partner brands.

“This store gives us an opportunity to increase our brand presence and to reach out to a wider target audience. We hope to tap on the market potential to give our consumers a wide option of safe and quality toys,” said Funskool India VP of sales and marketing R Jeswant.

Funskool plans to open 20 more stores over the next two to three years should the Coimbatore store succeed.
